Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA) is the governing body for ski racing in Canada. Founded in 1920 and accounting for close to 200,000 supporting members, ACA represents coaches, officials, supporters and athletes, including the elite racers of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team.
ACA was looking to completely redesign and redevelop their website based on an Open Source CMS platform. Their main objective with the new website was, to enhance users' experience by using many innovative user centric design concepts and Web 2.0 functionalities, and hence increase the website's traffic and user interactivity.
The Solution
After a stringent selection process, Infinity Canada was commissioned to completely redevelop the ACA website with the Joomla CMS platform. Working closely with ACA's project team, Infinity Canada designed a solution using Joomla CMS, open source extensions and custom built components. The design was supplied by ACA, the template was developed and following features were incorporated into the website.
